Mikayla is a University of Wisconsin-La Crosse graduate with a major in English Education and a minor in TESOL. She is an English teacher at Beaver Dam High School in Wisconsin and is entering her ninth year of teaching. In addition to teaching, Mikayla serves as an assistant coach for the high school track team and the head coach for the cross-country team. Mikayla is drawn to the MSPE program because of its course offerings. She has developed a strong passion for integrating Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) into the everyday curriculum and aims to assist her colleagues in doing the same. She is especially excited about exploring the instructional coaching aspect of MSPE.
