Andrea has 19 years of experience as an educator and presently serves as an elementary teacher in rural Kansas. In 2005, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University. Andrea is also a 2023 MSPE graduate. Throughout her career, Andrea has dedicated six years to teaching Title I reading and math intervention and 13 years to kindergarten instruction. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom, as she served as a building-wide Instructional Coach for a preschool-7th grade building for three years, notably guiding the district in the Kansans Can Redesign Project. Recognized for her exceptional contributions, Andrea was nominated for the 2020 Kansas Teacher of the Year award. Andrea’s expertise also extends to the national stage, as she has presented at numerous state and national conferences. Her presentations focused on supporting educators through school change and implementing transformative practices such as Personalized Learning, Project Based Learning, and Trauma-Informed Practices in classrooms and schools.
