Dr. Molly Gerrish is a professor of early childhood education at UW-River Falls, with 18 years of experience in higher education. She has taught at all levels of early childhood (birth through grade 3). Molly holds a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders, a master’s in education, and a PhD in early childhood education. Her passion for learning has led her back to UW-Madison for another master’s degree as she continues to challenge herself and grow as an educator. Her family consists of UW Badgers, with her husband being a UW alum, her son recently graduating, and her daughter now attending as a freshman.
Molly is particularly interested in brain development, mental health, and supporting educators. Recently, her focus has been on the recruitment and retention of educators and supporting undergraduate students, especially after COVID-19. Molly has presented and taught around the world, including China, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Panama, Costa Rica, and all over the US.
