Allyson Wasmer

Ally Wasmer is a music teacher at Howards Grove Middle School, where she just completed her third year of teaching. Her role includes general music and choral instruction, and this year, she also had the opportunity to teach instrumental music. Ally grew up in Howards Grove, Wisconsin, and began her college journey at Silver Lake College in Manitowoc. After the college closed, she transferred to Lakeland University to complete her degree. Shortly after graduating, she landed her first teaching job in her hometown.

A mentor of mine, who also attended the MSPE program, introduced me to the program. I always knew I wanted to get a masters and although I love music, I wanted it to be outside of music education and more centered around education and how students learn. I have always been interested in the psychology behind how people learn so when she showed me the program I knew it was going to be the perfect fit!
