Camila Ruiz Raya

Cami has lived in various places around the world, and is originally  from Mexico. Cami’s journey into education began after high school, when she volunteered for a year at a kindergarten in Germany. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in Mexico, during which time she also taught basic German and English to both children and adults. After graduating in 2023, she moved to Vancouver to complete a certificate in Early Childhood Education and now works in a pre-K center.

I chose the MSPE program because it allows me to both learn & work at the same time. The flexibility of the program sounds amazing and as a person that experienced college during covid, I actually like online learning. I’m interested in becoming a better guide and have the resources to further help my students to thrive. Also, I’m very interested in helping and connecting with other teachers. I believe that many times, teachers are left behind and we don’t focus enough on their mental health and helping them thrive too…
