Chris Kang-Joon Lee

Chris Kang-Joon Lee is originally from South Korea and has worked in education for about 10 years. He currently serves as a University Advisor at an international school in Hong Kong, where he guides high school students through academic planning, university applications, and personal reflection. Chris has previously worked as an EFL teacher, 5th grade teacher, and guidance counselor.

Working in university advising allows me to integrate my passion for teaching, counseling, and student development. I find deep purpose in helping students clarify their goals, manage challenges, and pursue growth with confidence. I joined the MSPE program to strengthen my understanding of educational psychology and to bridge research-based insights with my counseling and advising. My interests include student motivation, culturally responsive advising, and student-centered coaching as pathways toward inclusive and purposeful education.
