Rachel DeRoos is a fourth-year graduate student in Educational Psychology. Rachel has worked as a graduate assistant with the MSPE program since Fall 2015. Her role includes assisting with the teaching of MSPE courses, helping to organize summer residency, updating the website, and communicating with prospective students throughout the year. Rachel is usually the voice behind the MSPE email account!
Rachel earned her undergraduate degree in psychology at West Virginia University. She is interested in the parental influence on a child’s education and is developing her dissertation on providing consultation support to homeschooling parents.

Katie Ostrander is a third-year graduate student in Educational Psychology. Katie has been a teaching assistant for several classes during her time as a graduate and undergraduate student and is excited to join the MSPE team during the Fall 2016 semester. Katie’s role includes assisting with the teaching of MSPE courses and helping with administrative aspects of the program.
Katie earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in School Psychology and developing her dissertation on early education programs for children experiencing poverty.
