Alice Udvari-Solner is a national consultant in education and holds an appointment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction. The graduate and undergraduate courses she teaches on the topic of accommodating diverse learners in general education settings are integral to the elementary, secondary, and special education teacher certification programs.

Dr. Udvari-Solner teaches the MSPE course C&I 675: Collaborative Teamwork for Inclusive School Reform. This course guides practicing teachers in creating more inclusive school communities. The course emphasizes the process and multiple forms of collaboration among professionals.  Activities and projects are problem-based and focus on generating solutions to programmatic, student-specific, or school-wide issues related to inclusive education.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL), differentiation, the design of effective curricular adaptations, collaborative teamwork among educators and paraprofessionals, and systems change toward inclusive education are areas that are central to Alice’s research and teaching.
